What SaveMP3 is

SaveMP3 is a free, ad-free online tool that converts videos to MP3 from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter (X), Vimeo, Dailymotion, VK, and SoundCloud. Paste a URL, pick a bitrate up to 320 kbps, and download the audio. There is nothing to install, no account to create, and no advertising on the converter pages.

The project started because every other "free" converter we tried in 2024 was loaded with pop-ups, fake download buttons, or redirected through a chain of ad networks before delivering the file. We wanted a tool that behaved like a normal piece of software: paste a link, get a file, move on.

Who runs SaveMP3

SaveMP3 is operated by a small independent team based in the European Union. We are not a venture-funded company, we do not have an advertising department, and the converter is not part of a larger ad-tech network. The site is self-funded and self-hosted on Cloudflare.

How the converter works

When you paste a URL, our server fetches the public metadata for that video and extracts the audio track. The audio is transcoded to MP3 at the bitrate you selected (between 64 and 320 kbps) and delivered directly to your browser. Nothing is stored on our servers after the file is delivered.

We do not host any of the source media. SaveMP3 is a passive tool that operates on a URL you provide; the source media remains on its original platform. We respect robots.txt, platform rate limits, and DMCA takedowns.

The MP3 cutter and playlist downloader work the same way: the audio is processed in memory, encoded as MP3, and streamed to your browser. There is no permanent storage of user-submitted URLs or generated files.

Why it is free

The site is genuinely free because the running costs are small and we keep them small on purpose. The infrastructure is one Laravel application behind Cloudflare; there is no advertising revenue and no premium tier. If you would like to support the project, the best thing you can do is share the link with someone who needs it.

We have considered adding a paid tier with priority queueing for very long videos, but we have not built it yet. If we ever do, the free tier will stay free with the same feature set it has today.

Responsible use

SaveMP3 is a tool. You are responsible for using it in compliance with each source platform's Terms of Service and with applicable copyright law in your jurisdiction. We rely on this and on prompt action against material that should not be on the site.

If you believe a specific conversion infringes your rights, contact [email protected] with the source URL and we will remove the corresponding cached metadata within 24 hours.

What we do not do

• We do not run third-party advertising networks on the converter pages.
• We do not require an account and we do not collect a user profile.
• We do not store the audio files you create after they have been delivered.
• We do not sell, share, or sublicense any visitor data.
• We do not embed social-media tracking pixels or remarketing tags.
